Kate's Professional Journey

Kate has worked in Sustainability for 15 years within a global supply chain company. She has an MSc in Environmental Management and Sustainable Development and is passionate about creating value through sustainability whilst helping businesses improve and effectively communicate their responsible labour, ethics, procurement and environmental practices.

Kate has worked at the forefront of development for responsible sourcing transparency, working with customers on systems to create better visibility of labour standards, environment, ethical practise and procurement practices. Managing global EcoVadis assessments – attaining Platinum rating multiple times, leading SEDEX requirements and providing guidance for SMETA audits.

Kate is an expert at developing global carbon footprints, environmental management systems and fulfilling environmental legislative requirements. Working with multiple business functions, she has experience creating regular KPI reports, developing solid and auditable methodologies to ensure they meet internal requirements ready for audit. She has worked on different reporting frameworks including GRI and SASB, understanding the need for an integrated approach to ESG and Sustainability.

Kate is able to provide advice and guide companies through the complexity of customers’ requests for transparency and assurance on ethical business practices.

Whilst ESG can be extremely complex, Kate is adept at mapping different work streams, employing materiality to focus on solutions for the highest impact to minimise future ESG risks.
